Centennial College
Centennial College is Ontario's first community college. It was established in 1966 and primarily serves the eastern portion of the Greater Toronto Area through five campuses and seven satellite locations. Centennial is best known for its record of exemplary teaching, innovative programming and extensive partnership building. Centennial College Information
Programs
Centennial offers more than 250 diploma, certificate and degree programs on a full- and part-time basis in business, media arts, community and consumer services, engineering technology, health care and transportation. These programs promote experiential learning with laboratory instruction, co-op education and industry placements.
Residence
The college opened its state-of-the-art Centennial Place student residence at Progress Campus in 2016. The facility, with 740 beds and multiple activity rooms on every level, provides residents with stylish surroundings and premium amenities, including Zipcar rentals right outside their door. Frequent bus service to a nearby light-rail station, with connections to the Toronto subway system, makes it easy for residents to travel throughout the city. All five campuses have good transit links.
Athletics and Recreation Centres
Students of Centennial College have access to the Athletics and Recreation Centres (AWC) at the Progress Campus. The AWC is a state-of-the-art facility with a gymnasium (approximately 65,000 square feet), squash courts, an 154 metre indoor track, a climbing wall, a Wellness Treatment Centre, a cardio-fitness area, locker rooms and two aerobic studios. Centennial also has sports facilities in other campuses.
